Car hire and transfers in Slovenia

Our representatives in Slovenia, ABC Services, are the Slovenian agents for Europcar, one of the leading car rental companies in Europe. We use them because we can be 100% certain that all vehicles are in first-class condition and are properly insured and maintained. Additionally, our ABC representatives offer a free 24-hour assistance service in the unlikely event of any problems occurring.

Prices

Prices include unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver (CDW), theft protection and local taxes. Prices do not include car delivery (if appropriate), fuel (please return car with a full tank of fuel), additional driver, child/baby seats (these are compulsory), ski racks or roof racks. Please ask for details of extra costs. Minimum age is 21 years and there is a supplement for drivers over 70.

Excesses

A compulsory excess applies in the case of accident, theft or accidental damage. This will be detailed on your car hire voucher. We would advise clients to take the optional super collision damage waiver (SCDW) insurance which reduces the excess payable in the event of damage to the vehicle.

Extras

Mandatory Toll Stickers or vignettes (a pre-paid toll card) are required for all vehicles using Slovenian roads. Our car rental supplier, Europcar, will provide these and clients can pre-pay in the UK or will be charged locally. A small charge will also be made locally for mandatory security (high visibility) jackets to be carried in all vehicles. Please ask for further details.

Winter driving

From 15 November until 15 March Slovenian motorists are legally required to use winter equipment. This means either winter tyres or radial tyres with a minimum tread depth of 4mm. All cars hired through Just Slovenia will be equipped to the correct legal standards for winter driving at an additional cost.
