Metul stands on a hillside close to the village of Luce, mountains,
meadows and woodlands surround the farm Metul is a great base for exploring
the area and you can hire they have bikes and skis for hire, they can
also arrange riding. Metul is a real get-away-from-it-all kind of place.
Try the hammock in the garden!

Hlebec is in the lovely hamlet of Kog surrounded by hills
and woods and very close to the Croatia border. Jerusalem, the hilltop
village on one of the best known wine routes in Slovenia, is also close
by. Vineyards are everywhere you look! Milan Hlebec is both winegrower
and sommelier at this lovely tourist farm, where the rooms are both
comfortable and stylish and Milan’s wife Vera prepares delicious meals – we
can confirm from experience! The Hlebecs are lovely hosts and this
is a great location to explore the area including Ptuj, Maribor and
the eastern wine routes.

The location of this farm gives you plenty of opportunity to try outdoor
activities such as swimming or canoeing at the nearby Krka River. It is also
located on a protected Celtic historical site, with the nearby Sticna Monastery
and religious museum worth exploring. Buckwheat dishes are a speciality of the
farm, together with their homemade juniper and peach brandies.
