Our Slovenia Karst holidays offers four nights at Dolencevi Tourist Farm and three nights at Grofija Tourist Farm, two traditional farms in two beautiful areas of Slovenia. Dolencevi is set amongst the rolling hills of the Karst region and Grofija is close to the beautiful Krka Valley and Kocevski Rog, one of Slovenia’s vast primeval forests and protected nature areas.

Situated to the south of Postojna, famous for its cave, this gem of a farm
is ideal if you are looking to stay in an authentic working farm,
close to the animals and to the heart of a Slovene family. It has
probably remained unchanged for years and that is part of its charm.

The location of this farm gives you plenty of opportunity to try outdoor
activities such as swimming or canoeing at the nearby Krka River. It is also
located on a protected Celtic historical site, with the nearby Sticna Monastery
and religious museum worth exploring. Buckwheat dishes are a speciality of the
farm, together with their homemade juniper and peach brandies.
