Special offers on Slovenia holidays
The International Wild Flower Festival 2012
19 May – 2 June
This festival, now in its sixth year, celebrates the amazing diversity
of flora and fauna in the Bohinj area of north west Slovenia.
Many naturalists throughout the ages have written about the botanical riches found in the alpine meadows and mountainsides of the Julian Alps. From early spring through to the flaming colours of the autumn, alpine flowers abound.
The festival will provide a host of events celebrating alpine flowers in
all kinds of environments around Bohinj (along the waters, meadows, hills
and mountains).
The Triglav National Park and this wonderful festival are combined to promote tourism and the natural culture of this environment to give locals and visitors an unforgettable experience.
