Built in 1905, when it was the tallest building in Ljubljana, the Grand Hotel Union has hosted many famous international dignitaries – Bill and Hilary Clinton stayed here in 1999 and our own Queen Elizabeth stayed during a visit to Slovenia in in 2002.

The original Art Nouveau decoration has been preserved in the Union Hall and in the Main Lobby of the hotel.
